And happy as a clam! :) Here are the first pictures of Makenzie's smile!!

Makenzie has been smiling for a little while now, but it seems each week her smile gets bigger and brighter. She even does this little excited sigh that sounds like she is gearing up for great laughs. It is so cute! She smiles so much more often and more easily than Shane ever did.

Other than smiling, Makenzie still isn't doing a whole lot. She is getting a lot better at falling asleep on her own, which is making life MUCH easier. She's still a good eater and a good sleeper. She spends a little more time awake these days and seems to be a relatively calm and happy little girl. She loves watching us, especially Shane. She also kicks a lot. She is a total wiggle worm :) The picture below is a great example.

She was once swaddled in this blanket. Adam calls her our little Arabic girl.

What I don't understand is how she manages to slide down in the blanket to get it behind her head.

While this is kind of cute, it is not safe. I found her with the blanket completely covering her entire face twice during the night. The problem is she can't go to sleep without being swaddled and just about everything I swaddle her with ends up around her neck. We are still trying to remedy the situation.
