This is for journaling.
Here is what Shane is like at this point in his life (or at least what I can think of):
- Says cheese, Jesus, dad, water,
- knows the sounds for lion, elephant, monkey, dog, bird, snake, bee, hyena, maybe a few others
- can point out nose, ears, eyes, hair, mouth, tongue, teeth, cheeks, chin, fingers, feet, toes, tummy, and sometimes shoulders, elbows and knees.
- knows where all the power buttons are to turn on a movie
- Is absolutely in love with Curious George, but is into watching just about anything on the TV.
- If he is holding the remote and I ask him if I can change the channel he will hand me the remote.
- LOVES reading books. His two favorites right now are "The Nose Book" and "If you're happy and you know it" Jungle Edition.
- Is obsessed with "driving" the car (or any car). Our local grocery store has these carts that have little toy cars attached to the front so the kids can sit and pretend to drive. Shane sees the carts through the doors before we even get into the store and starts running. Don't plan on grocery shopping if you don't let him "drive".
- Loves food. Even if he isn't hungry, he is always willing to eat. Beyond the normal kid favorites of cheese and crackers Shane loves any kind of fruit, especially grapes and strawberries. He also really enjoys most meat (as long as it isn't too tough to chew), fresh bell peppers, tomatoes, olives, asparagus, broccoli, corn, peas, onions, frosted mini wheats, grape-nuts, croutons, pizza, and more. He often wants to try whatever we are eating.
- Loves people, mostly other kids. Although he is shy around new adults, he generally warms up to people quickly.
- Enjoys playing with cell phones and pretending to talk on them.
- Follows me around the house all day. He can't handle being in a room by himself for too long. He often cries when I go to the bathroom.
- Is especially in love with his OSU baseball hat, Finding Nemo swim shorts, and rocket ship pajamas.
- Can drink from a big boy cup now, although he prefers the sippy because it is easier to guzzle.
- Loves animals but is terrified of touching them, even ants.
- His favorite toys are balls and cars/trucks (more specifically his mini school bus and monster truck though). He loves to play with toy kitchens when we run into one (well, real kitchen stuff too).
